OUR MISSION

At IMDcabinets, we’re changing the way you think about kitchens.

We design and manufacture custom kitchens, cabinetry, outdoor and indoor furniture — all built exclusively from aluminum. Our products are made for homeowners who want beautiful, lasting design, and for interior design studios and architects who demand high-performance materials and flexibility across projects.

The kitchen is the highest-traffic area in any home — and we believe it should be of the highest quality. Our aluminum systems are solid, durable, non-toxic, and built to last forever. But we haven’t sacrificed aesthetics for durability: our kitchens are modern, stylish, and stunning. With a wide selection of colours and finishes, we help bring your vision — or your client’s — to life.

VISION

To lead a design movement that redefines cabinetry and furniture for the future — combining health-conscious materials, timeless European style, and bold, modern innovation.

We aim to be the first choice for both design professionals and residential clients who want a cabinetry system that is not only beautiful and functional, but also sustainable, non-toxic, and future-proof.

With roots in Spain and Canada, and projects reaching across the U.S., Europe, and beyond, our vision is truly global.

To empower interior designers and architects with versatile aluminum solutions that support their creativity and meet the highest project standards
To support homeowners with custom cabinetry that reflects their unique style, values, and way of living

Whether it’s a high-end custom home, a collaborative design-build project, or a kitchen built to last a lifetime, IMDcabinets is redefining what cabinetry can be — and where it can go.

OUR TEAM

SANTIAGO VILARMAU

DESIGN & PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

Santiago started building aluminum windows when he was 16. Since then, he has also worked in aluminum profile design and sales before creating his own aluminum manufacturing company near Barcelona, Spain. Thanks to his extensive experience, engineering abilities and impeccable craftsmanship he designed the aluminum system and profiles used to make IMDcabinets' beautiful kitchens. His role is to supervise the manufacturing and installation processes, as well as to design and draw up plans. When he's not working, he loves mountain biking, coaching basketball and discovering new music.

PATRICIA NEWELL

CLIENT SERVICES & PARTNER RELATIONS

Patricia has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business administration she obtained at the University of Barcelona (Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona, Sabadell campus) in 2000. She has extensive experience in customer service, sales and management, marketing and strategic planning which she used in different roles before joining Santiago in their aluminum business. She is responsible for client and partner relations, ensuring a smooth and seamless purchasing and installation experience. If she's not at her computer or on the phone, you'll find her out hiking or reading a book.

VALUES

INNOVATION

We saw a gap in the market — and we created something new. From aluminum kitchens to full cabinetry systems, our solutions are designed to challenge expectations and push boundaries.

We’re changing the way you think about kitchens.

HEALTH & SUSTAINABILITY

Our materials are non-toxic, recyclable, and eco-conscious — a safe choice for homes and a smart decision for sustainable design practices.

UNMATCHED DURABILITY

Aluminum doesn’t warp, crack, or age like traditional materials. Our cabinetry systems are built to withstand time, weather, and wear — making them ideal for both residential interiors and professional-grade design projects.

TAILORED AESTHETICS

Form meets function in every detail. We offer a wide palette of colours, textures, and finishes, all customizable to fit your unique taste — or your next design brief.

CLIENT COMMITMENT

Whether you’re a homeowner or a design professional, we’re here to collaborate. Our team delivers:

Personalized service rooted in real conversations
Expert guidance grounded in over 35 years of experience
Design flexibility to meet your space and project goals
Global quality with a local, personal approach

At IMDcabinets, we’re not just building cabinetry — we’re empowering great design.

Why do all our product lines end in AL?

Because every great story starts with a little bit of elemental magic. The AL at the end of each of our collection names is a playful nod to Aluminum—AL on the periodic table, and the heart of everything we create. It’s strong, lightweight, endlessly recyclable, and naturally non-toxic—basically, the superhero of materials. So whether you're drawn to bold colour, wood-inspired textures, or solid-stone style, know that behind every cabinet is a little sparkle of ALchemy.
