Your ideal colour palette: design, create, be unique.
Colour design to reflect your personality
Are you asking yourself where to source your inspiration?
The best source is the very planet we call home.
When creating your ideal colour palette, you want it to be unique, designed to reflect your personality. Nature provides us with a wide and beautiful variety of colours, shades, textures…
Allowing yourself to be inspired by nature gives you the opportunity to incorporate all of the things you love and admire.
It might be the creamy grey colour that reminds you of the rocks you used to skip over the water at the lake.
Or it could be that beautiful turquoise; the same blue of the eggs the robins lay each spring in your backyard.
What about the texture and colour of that special tree in your backyard you used to spend hours climbing and sitting in as a child?
IMDcabinets are custom powder coated on a per project basis. This allows us to match your cabinets to your dream colour palette.
What is powder coating and why is it so fantastic?
Powder coating is a type of coating that is applied as a free-flowing, dry powder. The main difference between a conventional liquid paint and a powder coating is that the powder coating does not require a solvent to keep the binder and filler parts in a liquid suspension form. The coating is typically applied electrostatically and is then cured under heat to allow it to flow and form a "skin".*
Powder coating therefore contains no VOCs making it 100% non-toxic. Powder coating, as well as adding a protective layer, allows for an unlimited variety of colours. Architects and design professionals love this feature!
