Back to school, back to the routine (September Newsletter)

Back to school, back to the routine.

As summer comes to an end and the routine slowly restores itself, our houses can become quite messy and unorganized, especially our kitchens.

If you are someone who wants to make their daily routine a little smoother or loves to cook in a comfortable space, you will want to keep on reading.

Here are some clever tips on organization to keep in mind when designing your 100% non-toxic kitchen for a speedy morning and stress-free cooking.

Firstly, you need to determine your kitchen’s main activities so you can organize your cabinetry with smart non-toxic storage for easier access and flow:

  • Meal Preparation: Your fridge, receiving and initial food-preparation point. Make sure you have an ample countertop space with everything you need close by. There is no need to be walking a marathon each time you want a utensil or cutting board. Which leads us to our next tip…
  • Access to your essentials: Plates, utensils, mixing bowls, pans and pots... Think about how you use your kitchen and arrange items accordingly. Place frequently used items at eye level and less-used items higher up or lower down. This logical arrangement saves time and effort.
  • Sink, trash-recycling center:  Have a dedicated space to trash and recycling, as well as a good under sink organization. This will make simple tasks like recycling or washing the dishes easier.
  •  Appliance garages: Include a specific cabinet to store small appliances like the coffee maker, kettle, toaster, blender… for a clean and tidy countertop.

Optimize your space; no need to worry about tricky corners or narrow cabinets.

Here are some non-toxic, melamine free (metal trays and bases) options:

Spice Racks: Make the most out of a narrow space.

Corner Pull-Outs: No more crawling into your corner cabinets.

Utensil drawer organization:  Stop digging around, find everything at a glance.

Plate drawer organization:
Keep your plates organized and secure by size, and even better carry your plate holder right to the table to set it.

Trash/Recycling Pull-Outs: Hygiene is important, everything should be tidy and clean.
That's why having an easy access trash/recycling pull-out is a must.

We hope these ideas help you create a more functional and enjoyable cooking space, making those crazy mornings and evenings just a tad easier.
